Calm, unhurried newborn sessions in my Kingsbury studio, with time for feeds and settling.

Newborn sessions follow your baby's pace, which is why they take longer than other shoots. There is time for feeds, nappy changes and cuddles, and nobody is rushed.

You can choose wrapped portraits of your baby on their own, or include parents and siblings in the larger packages.

How the Session Works

Before

Book while you're pregnant. I hold a provisional date around your due date and we confirm it once your baby arrives.

In the studio

Your baby's safety and comfort come first. Every pose is gently supported, I never force a position, and we pause for feeds, changes and settling whenever needed.

After

Within 4 days your selection gallery is ready in a secure app. I send you a personal access code, and you choose your favourite images there. Your fully retouched images are delivered within 4 weeks.

How to Prepare

  • Bring everything you'd need for a few hours out: feeds, nappies, wipes and a spare change of clothes.
  • Dress your baby in something that opens at the front, so it's easy to undress without waking them.
  • If you're in the photographs, plain, soft colours work best. Avoid logos and busy patterns.
  • If siblings are joining, bring a snack and a favourite toy for the wait between photographs.

Questions

When is the best time for newborn photographs?

Usually within the first two weeks, when babies sleep deeply and curl up easily. Older babies can still be photographed, with a slightly different style.

What if my baby won't settle?

That's part of every newborn session. We stop for feeds and cuddles as often as needed, which is why the sessions are long.

Can parents and siblings be in the photographs?

Yes. The Story and The Legacy include parents and siblings. The Chapter is baby only.

How does the booking fee work?

A £99 non-refundable booking fee secures your date and time, and it is deducted from your package. Your booking is confirmed once the fee is paid and the contract is completed. A date can be held for up to 48 hours while you do this.

When do I pay the rest?

The remaining balance is due at the end of the session.

Can I buy more images?

Yes. Extra fully retouched images are £30 each. You can choose them from your selection gallery.

What if I'm running late?

Lost time is taken from your session. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the session may be cancelled and the booking fee is not refunded.

Where is the studio?

The studio is in Kingsbury, North West London (NW9), with free parking. The full address is sent with your booking confirmation.
