Cake Smash and Milestone Photography in North West London
First birthday cake smash and sitter sessions in my Kingsbury studio, with styled sets and plenty of time to play.
A cake smash celebrates the first birthday with a set, a cake and a lot of mess. Sitter and milestone sessions photograph the months before that, such as when your baby first sits up on their own.
Before the day I help you plan the set colours, outfits and cake, so you know exactly what to expect.

How the Session Works
Before
I send you a preparation checklist with tips on outfits, cake colours and designs, and how to get your baby ready. We choose the set together.
In the studio
Babies rarely follow a plan, so I work around naps, snacks and moods. The session moves at your baby's pace.
After
Within 4 days your selection gallery is ready in a secure app. I send you a personal access code, and you choose your favourite images there. Your fully retouched images are delivered within 4 weeks.
The Legacy ends with a splash: a short bath-time set to wash off the cake.

Sitter and milestone sessions (without cake) have the same prices and times. In The Story and The Legacy, parents and siblings can be included.
- All packages include fully retouched, high-resolution digital images.
- Extra fully retouched images: £30 each.
- A £99 non-refundable booking fee secures your date and is deducted from your package.
- Prints included in a package can't be exchanged for digital images, discounts or credit.
- RAW or unedited files are not included and are not sold.
How to Prepare
- Plan the session around your baby's routine. A rested, fed baby enjoys the cake far more.
- Bring a second outfit for after the cake, and a towel and change of clothes for the journey home.
- If you're in the family photographs, choose colours that go with the set rather than matching it exactly.
- You bring the cake. I'll suggest colours and designs that suit your set.

What age is best for a cake smash?
Most families book around the first birthday.
When is a sitter session?
Usually between 6 and 9 months, once your baby can sit up without help.
Do I bring the cake?
Yes. I'll send colour and design suggestions to match your set.
What is a splash?
A short bath-time set after the cake smash, so your baby is photographed playing in the water. It's included in The Legacy.
How does the booking fee work?
A £99 non-refundable booking fee secures your date and time, and it is deducted from your package. Your booking is confirmed once the fee is paid and the contract is completed. A date can be held for up to 48 hours while you do this.
When do I pay the rest?
The remaining balance is due at the end of the session.
Can I buy more images?
Yes. Extra fully retouched images are £30 each. You can choose them from your selection gallery.
What if I'm running late?
Lost time is taken from your session. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the session may be cancelled and the booking fee is not refunded.
Where is the studio?
The studio is in Kingsbury, North West London (NW9), with free parking. The full address is sent with your booking confirmation.
