Hi, I'm Elberta.

I'm a photographer based in North West London, with 12 years of experience behind the camera.

My relationship with photography began at school, when a friend first showed me what a camera could do. I started by photographing almost anything that caught my attention: insects, flowers, landscapes, little details I might otherwise have walked past, and eventually people. What began as curiosity slowly became my profession.

I think that instinct to notice things has stayed with me. When I photograph someone, I pay attention to more than how they look. I notice the way they hold themselves, the expressions that appear for a second, the way people look at each other and the small details that make someone recognisably themselves.

Most of my work now takes place in my studio, where I use light, posing and composition intentionally. You don't need to know how to pose, where to look or what to do with your hands. That's my job. I guide you throughout the session, adjust the details and find what is most flattering, without trying to turn you into someone else.

I want you to love how you look in the photographs, but also to recognise yourself in them. To see yourself at your best, without losing the character, expression and individuality that make you who you are.

And when I photograph families, I'm looking for the same thing between people. The closeness, personalities, gestures and relationships that belong specifically to you.

For me, that is where a beautifully made photograph becomes a meaningful one.
