PUNCTUALITY

The Christmas Mini Sessions will run every 30 minutes. Punctuality is crucial, so please factor in extra time for your journey, considering possible traffic delays. It's recommended to add an at least 20-30 minutes to your estimated arrival time (or more, depending on your location). In case you are 10 minutes late, your session will be shortened by 10 minutes.

I strongly recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to make the most of your session and avoid any last-minute rush. You'll be kindly asked to wait in your car until it's time for your shoot. This helps us maintain a safe environment, gives me enough time to get ready for your session, and ensures the studio is clean and ready for you to enjoy your experience.

CLOTHING - maximum 2 per person.

I advise opting for an outfit that suits both set-ups, and then enhancing it with accessories like a scarf, hat, or coat for the second setup. Creating the appearance of being in a snowy environment is essential for outdoor shots, and spending less time changing outfits allows us more time to capture beautiful images.

INDOOR OUTFIT (green & gold setup)

What are the best colours?

1. Neutrals & Earthy Tones

  • Beige, cream, ivory, taupe, or light browns will balance the rich green and gold tones, creating a warm, cohesive look.

  • These colours will let the background shine while keeping the focus on you and your family.

2. Deep Reds & Burgundy

  • Wine red, burgundy, or maroon tones add a festive contrast and pop beautifully against the emerald and olive greens.

3. Metallic Accents

  • Subtle hints of gold, bronze, or champagne in outfits (like metallic accessories, shoes, or details) will tie in with the gold elements of your setup and give an elegant, cohesive look.

4. Muted Jewel Tones

  • Plum, deep teal, mustard yellow, or rust are lovely jewel tones that complement the setup without overpowering it.

5. Soft Pastels

  • While more unexpected, soft blush pink, dusty rose or muted lavender can provide a gentle contrast to the deep greens and golds, adding a soft, dreamy vibe to the shoot.

    What are the best textures?

For women and girls, I suggest opting for fabrics that have a subtle sheen, such as velvet or satin/silk dresses, or a dress/top with sequins or glitter. Since both set-ups have an elegant theme, attire with ruffles or lace would also be a great choice.

For men and boys, consider wearing slim-fit trousers in an elegant style (if not available, chinos or regular jeans are acceptable) and a shirt in one of the recommended colours mentioned earlier. To elevate your look and achieve a more sophisticated appearance, you may also want to consider adding blazers, textured ties, bow ties, and waistcoats.

OUTDOOR OUTFIT (red & cream setup)

What are the best colours?

1. Classic Christmas Colors

  • Deep Reds: Shades like cranberry, burgundy, or dark red will complement the baubles and the overall festive atmosphere.

  • Forest Green or Hunter Green: These tones enhance the natural setting and blend well with the snowy tree and outdoor vibe.

2. Neutrals & Warm Earth Tones

  • Cream, beige, ivory, or light grey give a clean, soft contrast to the darker outdoor elements and will make your clients stand out against the snowy background.

  • Mustard, camel, rust, and chocolate brown add warmth and earthiness, creating a cosy feel.

What are the best textures?

To best complement the outdoor set-up, wintery materials like coats, wool, cashmere, cable-knit sweaters, and faux fur, are ideal.

To create an authentic outdoor atmosphere, I recommend bringing at least one hat or a winter scarf for the kids. Beret hats work well for women and girls. Furthermore, it is important to wear shoes in the second setup to better convey the idea of an outdoor setting in photographs.

A tip for clients who do not wish to commit on purchasing new items: you can order online from stores like Next, Zara, H&M, ASOS, Shein, or Temu - just remember to keep the tags on, wear the clothes only for the photoshoot, and then easily return them to the store.

It's crucial that you arrive dressed for the first set-up as we will always start the photoshoot in the indoor set (the one with the armchair and Christmas tree). This helps us save time for the shoot.

SHOES

All customers will be asked to take their shoes off as soon as they walk in my home studio. Simple, plain, long black socks or colourful ones with a bit of texture are fine. Please avoid short and white socks (with the exception of white trousers).

Shoes are highly recommended for the outdoor set-up to evoke the idea of being outside - please make sure to bring them separately after thoroughly cleaning their soles with water and soap. Please refrain from merely wiping them, as it is not efficient. Your consideration and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

DURING THE SHOOT

Depending on your children’s age, I will be needing some help from the parents in order to draw their attention to the camera and engage them better. This could involve singing nursery rhymes, clapping, dancing, engaging in conversation, and more.

CHILDREN

Prior to the photo session, please ensure that all children have clean hands and hair, trimmed nails, are well-fed, and well-rested. Please note that food is not permitted in the studio, except for formula.

If you'd like a second opinion on the clothing or items you're considering for the photo shoot, feel free to send me pictures or links.

You will receive a reminder about your booking 1-2 days before the scheduled shoot.

Looking forward to meeting you and your loved ones!
